Hero of a Hundred Fights

Members Pat Fuller - guitar/vocals Shane Holchester - drums Chris Grove - bass/vocals William Zientara - vocals Location: Milwaukee Bio Hero of a Hundred Fights is a long-defunct band but highly influential Milwaukee band. They emerged from the ashes of Brass Knuckles for Tough Guys, Tintoretto and Managra. Like those three bands, Hero of a Hundred Fights played a complex and ambitious style of hardcore, combining math rock influences with the lurching and propulsive rock assault of bands like Drive Like Jehu and Bitch Magnet. In 2000 William Zientara joined the band contributing vocals to their final EP The Remote, the Cold, recorded at Electrical Audio Recording by Steve Albini. With this release the band further refined their sound creating four powerful and dynamic songs combining fierce layered vocals, lurching time changes, snaking guitar lines and a pounding rhythm section. Disbanding late in 2001 members went on to join Haymarket Riot, Call Me Lightning, Murder in the Red Barn and Temper Temper. Releases Hero of a Hundred Fights CD Hero of a Hundred Fights (2000) 1. Bio

The Commuter exit is a group of five musical theorists transmuting music and poetry compositions in to the molecules of water for the survival of thought and idealism within the plains of Art and assemblage. In order to understand the atomic structures of DNA twisting in the very strain of the human existence and its artistic connection with actuality they humbly strip naked of genera and Live to devote purely upon the sound of that living before the metaphor it's self. Immune to the black web of pigeonholedism the Commuter exit works to relieve the shackles tangling external affairs which can sadly be compared to a feud and prejudice between the seven colors of Light and trying to figure out which one is better..With the summoning and resurrection of the inner definition of the imagination and the logic of natural mathematics they work interchangeably as shape shifters of art to develop in keeping the mind from falling lethargically in to self forgetfulness.

In the last two years [the] commuter exit has tentatively combined efforts for the development of their debut album entitled "INOCULATION."

After the first few months recording in a studio manor where each band member records separately and precisely track by track, the band felt that the recordings lacked the ethereal embodiment and personal energies behind the collective connection of their live shows. [the] commuter exit decided to scratch the original recordings and plug in their instruments all together. The result was an aftermath of intimate inner workings harmonizing the physical instrumentation. Upon meditating to filter out any preceding influences the vocals were produced by emptying the mind and soaking up the essence of the music. With only absolute connection to the instrumentation vocals were constructed attentively and also introduced edwin's invention of the sprube, an acoustic-electric vocal manipulator using natural reverb to create feedback for controlled desire. The final result of INOCULATION carries the RAW and vivacious energies of a live performance with Avant-garde improvisation while concluding the significance of a studio work of art.

Pale Gray Sky

Members Marty-vox Hunt-guitars Phil-guitars Josh-bass Joe-drums Location: Green Bay Facebook: Pale Gray Sky Bio Founded in Late 2000 under the name Sutter Cain, the band was to be renamed in 2003 due to the overwhelming bands with that name. Pale Gray Sky was formed to recreate a local metal scene that dominated the U.S. in the early 90's, out of an angry disposition that proved not all bands are unoriginal and can deliver brutality rather than femininity. Rather than try to emmulate a time where metal dominated, 2 of the 5 members were recruited, who helped create the early 90's WI death metal movement, to influence this young band, and retain the right to be die hards who carry on the torch with this project. Pale Gray Sky is heavily influenced by the sounds of Scandanavia, predominantly the Swedish region, and feel the need to contribute to the cause...

The band consists of five musicians, each member having distinct musical experience, adding to the complexity of the band’s unique and experimental sound. Over the past three years, the band has made their mark on the Madison music scene with live, energetic, performances and continue to branch out to other Wisconsin communities. Due to the musical diversity, the band has been able to recruit listeners from all genres, from jazz to metal. Bio

From the moment of the band name's conception to their present day status of Attic-Based Elevated Grinders, Dion has had a beard and a penchant for hickory, and Billy's had one (1) b in his name and has, in all likelihood, consumed several slices of pizza; both with and without extra cheese.

Dion, the Gypsy-raised result of a hops-fuelled liaison between a human-sized dwarf and a Slovakian leprechaunette and Billy, a descendant of Cousin It and the unpaid, official representative of the World Golf-Attire Authority began writing in earnest. They quickly realised that their symphonic venture would pay off much more than their proposed aggressive takeover of Whittlin’s R Us and continued to grind sporadically throughout the season known as summer.

A few months (and several hundred bulletins and classified ads) later, Mike was enveloped into the ensemble. Mike had just been fired from his once-illustrious career as an Ahomosexual live-stock fluffer for Bawdy Barnyard Productions after an… “incident“ involving a harmonica, a tub of hummus and an Episcopalian organ- grinder‘s monkey. Once taken on by Meth Tooth, he was put to work strangling the living daylights out of a Shure micro-ma-phone as well as doubling as the official Meth Tooth nip-gripper. At least he did once he'd overcome the nausea from his sudden elevation into the attic, now known as The Meth Lab.

These gravity-enthusiasts, did not allow the lack of a Mother-Pluckin’ Octave-Popper to hold them back from their dream of being payed in beer, Monsters and Ball-In-A-Cups (or would that be Balls-In-A-Cup ?) in return for playing their set; even having a guest appearance from Dance Cadaverous' low-ender Johnno.

That, apparently was it: Meth Tooth pretending to have a bassist annoyed the piss out of an ancient universal entity known only as Tsi Ss‘Ab, thus causing the aforementioned entity to copulate with a megasauric, amorous 13-fingered cellist of talents-most-gob-smacking. With a clear purpose in mind, Tsi Ss’Ab seduced MechaCellist with the endlessly looped "Legacies Of Molestation" intro and a 30 pack of PBR with a funnel, and their ensuing love-making destroyed entire galaxies (Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?). Thundering out of MechaCellist’s womb comes Ryan, swinging a five-string rumble-stick above his head to whereby storm his way into the Meth Lab and the band's hearts.
