I would really like to see this happen, so I want to know what everyone thinks about it, who wants to participate or help out in any way, etc. The Wisconsin Sickness Short Horror Film Festival would probably take place late Fall, giving all filmmakers most of the year to produce a new, original short film to enter. The festival would hopefully happen at a theater in Milwaukee such as the Times. If at all possible (not required) it would be cool if you could cast a Cannibelle in the film and/or use music from a local band. Either trailers would be voted on online with top-voted films being sold on DVD at the festival, or top-voted films at the festival would be sold on DVD online and at Wisconsin Sickness events afterwards. All profits would go to the makers of the films on the DVD. What do you think? |

Sweet! I want to make a decision by March at the latest. If there is enough interest it definitely needs to happen. |

Wisconsin Sickness will be holding a shocking and horrific short horror film festival later this year (August or September?), which will hopefully also include some bands, burlesque, and a theater full of Cannibelles. FILMMAKERS: - You can enter 1 or more new and original short horror films to be screened at the festival. - Cast a Cannibelle and use music by a local Wisconsin band if at all possible - Films must be made in Wisconsin - Highest rated films will go on a DVD which will be sold online and at future Wisconsin Sickness events, including the 2012 Halloween Massacre. - All profits from DVD sales will be divided evenly between everyone whose films are included on the DVD - Hopefully we will also find sponsors to up the ante with cash prizes or other things. - Trailers will be due to Wisconsin Sickness by a set date for festival promotion BANDS: - Would you like to contribute music to the pool of Wisconsin music available to use in these films? Email your band name, song name, mp3 and relevant links to [email protected] SPONSORS Want to help sponsor this event in any way? Shoot us an email, let us know what you can do! We’re looking for anyone and everyone who would be interested is helping to make this beast possible. We’re thinking the Times in Milwaukee might be the best place to hold the festival, so if someone has any experience working with them to help us get it set up, that would be awesome. We want this thing to be crazy – a red (or bloody?) carpet event no one will soon forget, with Cannibelles arriving in a hearse and all. We would love to hear from anyone who has anything to offer to help make this all possible. We’re hoping to keep cost down, but if we have some costs we just can’t avoid, hopefully we can use Kickstarter or some other fund-raising campaign to achieve this. THE OFFICIAL WISCONSIN SICKNESS ENTRY We will be working on a film for inclusion in the festival. We looking for anyone with professional film and audio experience and/or equipment who would be interested in helping out. Any questions? Email me at [email protected] I’m hoping to have all the details worked out by March 1st so the official registration can begin. |

Late summer and autumn will be busy for me since that’s when I’ll be heading into promotional high gear. I could commit to spreading fliers around as of now. When I know more about the exact release date of the book I could likely make a bigger commitment. |

I’m in. I’ll start promoting/filming soon. That way, if you decide not to go through with it, I can hide the film in the woods somewhere and it can be one of those stories that they base off of real life. |

We were actually already planning it to be honest… my brother did a bunch of film studies in school. He’s also the guy we killed in our photoshoot, so… his storyline there is pretty limited to flashbacks… nothing… or zombies. So, film is the only natural step. |

All I can do is promote to friends and groups and spread the word to random ppl, but if there is anything else you think I can help with I would love to be a part of it…such as if you produce fliers and such lemme know and I can spread them around madison and the surrounding area as well as the Dells and Tomah. |

I would love to see this happen, but unless someone else can head it up, I don’t think there will be time to focus on it this year around all the other stuff in the works. Anyone interested in taking the reins on this one? |
