The inaugural Wisconsin Sickness Halloween Massacre is almost here! What is it, you ask?

• Costume Contest: Prizes for sickest and sexiest costumes If you don't come in costume, the price of your drinks might be doubled ;)
• Bloody t-shirt contest: It's like a wet t-shirt contest, but with blood! Cash $$$ prizes, free blood-stained t-shirt

TeslaCon II

The second TeslaCon, a full weekend steampunk convention with bands, artists, panels, adventure and more, is happening in Madison November 18th-19th-20th, 2011.

Ticket prices range from $30-$50, and from the sounds of it will be well worth it. If I wasn't a poor bastard, and/or had any kind of steampunk gear, I would definitely be there.

Savage Productions is putting on what is sure to be a badass Halloween show Saturday, October 29th!

The show starts at 7 at The Wisco - 853 Williamson St. in Madison. There will be a $3 cover, with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots.

Oshkosh Horror Film Festival 2011

The 2011 Oshkosh Horror Film Festival will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Time Community Theater in downtown Oshkosh. The goal of the festival is exactly what we aim for here at Wisconsin Sickness - to showcase Wisconsin-made independent horror!

Short and feature-length films will be accepted, but there are no awards. It is simply a celebration of Wisconsin horror. There will be giveaways, raffles and Q&As with the filmmakers.

Ghosts of Washington County

Ghosts of Washington County is the haunt put on by the Washington County Historical Society in the Old Jailhouse Museum in West Bend.

Scary Haunted Old Jailhouse
$8.00/person. $5.00/WCHS member.

Price includes admission to the Haunted Old Jailhouse, refreshments, and activities in the Old Courthouse Museum.

UFO Daze 2011

The 23rd annual UFO Daze 2011 will be held on Saturday, July 16th, 2011. It is held at Benson’s Hideaway on Long Lake, the local UFO headquarters. Owner Bill Benson is the area’s official registrar of UFO sightings.

Numerous sightings of UFOs hovering around Dundee Mountain and the local legend that there is a UFO base at the bottom of Long Lake have been drawing crowds to Benson’s UFO Daze since 1988.
